Skoda launches Kodiaq Scout at Rs 33 lakhs

Skoda Auto has launched the new Kodiaq Scout priced at Rs 33,99,000 lakhs (ex showroom prices). The new off road focused Kodiaq Scout is placed in between the Kodiaq Corporate and the top end Kodiaq L&K trim.

Visually different and exclusive to the Kodiaq Scout are the silver skid plates upfront and back along with a different design for the front grille along with a chrome grille surround, silver finished wing mirrors and roof rails. Also new are the 18-inch alloy wheels that get a new design and Scout logo on the side fender.

The cabin on the other hand comes finished in an all black trim and comes wrapped in black leather upholstery with stitched Scout logo on the headrest of the front and rear seat. The premium wood finish on the dashboard with Scout inscription further accentuates the off-road ready feel. In terms of features the Scout gets full LED headlights, panoramic electric sunroof, virtual boot release pedal, allumium pedals, two ISOFIX child safety seat mounts, 10-speaker Canton sound system, digital voice entertainment and many more other features.

Skoda has also upgraded the Kodiaq’s approach, departure angles and increased the ground clearance as well. The Kodiaq’s approach angle has been increased to 22 degrees and the departure angle by 23.1, while the ground clearance is now rated at 194 mm. The Kodiaq Scout also comes with an off-road mode that can be activated at speeds up to 30kmph, while AWD is also part of the package.

Under the hood the Scout is powered by the same 2.0 litre TDI engine that produces 147bhp and 340 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. On the safety front apart from the usual features, it also gets nine airbags as standard.
