Skoda has launched a new limited Rapid Onyx edition at an attractive price of Rs 9.75 Lakhs (Ex showroom)
The new Rapid Onyx edition sports the brands new signature design language finished off in two exciting shades Lapiz blue and Candy white. The sedan gets a black treatment for the front grille, B-pillars, body side moulding, trunk garnish and wing mirrors. Adding to the style and substance are the 16 inch Clubber alloy wheels that also come finished off in black
With the introduction of the Rapid Onyx edition, Skoda has also introduced the new Lapix Blue colour to the standard Rapid line-up.
Moving to the inside, the biggest change is the addition of a new flat bottom steering wheel with black stitching and abundant chrome inserts. The interior follows a light brown colour scheme with perforated beige seats.
On the equipment front, the Onyx edition features black inserts for the headlamps which also have LED daytime running lamps, 6.5 inch colour touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Smartlink, 12 volt front and rear power socket at front and rear, rear sunshade and special scuff plates with Onyx branding printed into them.
Powering the Rapid Onyx edition is the same 1.6 litre multi point injection petrol engine producing 105 PS and 153 Nm of torque, while the 1.5 litre TDI produces 110PS and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the petrol motor includes a 5-speed manual and 7-speed automatic, while the diesel includes a 5- speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
Skoda has also packed the Rapid Onyx edition with safety kit such as dual airbags, ABS, ESC, HHC and an Anti-theft alarm.
