Skoda Auto has launched a more affordable variant of its luxury sedan the Superb called the Superb Corporate edition priced at Rs 23.49 Lakhs (ex showroom). The new variant will be sold only to corporate buyers and existing VW and Skoda car owners looking for an upgrade.
The new corporate edition is based on the Style variant and gets all the bells and whistles from the Style variant at a lower price point. A few important features worth mentioning would be chrome front grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, Bi-Xenon headlamps with daytime running lamps and LED taillamps. The interior sports an 8-speaker infotainment system, 12 way adjustable driver seat with memory function, and panoramic sunroof.
Powering the Superb is a 1.8 litre Tsi petrol engine that puts out 178bhp at 4000 to 6000rpm and 320Nm of torque between 1450 – 3900 rpm. The engine is offered exclusively with a six speed manual gearbox. Safety kit standard on the Superb Corporate edition includes ABS, hill hold assist, Electronic stability control and 8 airbags.
The Skoda Superb Corporate edition will rival the Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Passat.
