Having kept half the globe guessing on what the teaser image mentioning P R N D S released by the company meant, Czech automaker Skoda has finally given out the answer of the riddle to be the new Rapid Automatic.
Don’t hold your breath just yet, Skoda has only begun accepting bookings for the new Rapid AT and not launched it yet. Booking amount however has been fixed at Rs 25,000 and one can book their car through the website at www.skodaauto.in or by visiting the dealership
The new Rapid automatic just like its manual counterpart will be powered by the 1.0 TSI three cylinder petrol engine, it makes 110PS at 5000-5500rpm and 175Nm of torque at 1750-4000rpm. The engine when paired with the upcoming six speed automatic will deliver 16.24kmpl under ARAI testing says Skoda.

The new Skoda Rapid AT when launched will take on the Hyundai Verna facelift, Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Toyota Yaris. The launch is expected to happen sometime in the middle of September which is when pricing will be announced as well.
