Skoda Auto is gearing up to launch the new Rapid in the Indian market on the 26th of May, However the cars have started reaching dealerships with the launch date drawing closer.
The biggest change in the 2020 Skoda Rapid is the engine which is now BS6 spec 1.0 litre turbo petrol motor; it churns out 110hp and 172Nm of torque and will come mated to a 6-speed manual only. An automatic transmission however could be introduced at a later stage.
It’s unlikely that the new Rapid will evoke any new changes to its exterior or interior with the same sporty looks and well built interiors on offer in the new car as well. Expect more details to be revealed closer to launch in the coming days.

The 2020 Skoda Rapid will however face tough competition from the upcoming new generation Honda City that is all set to launch sometime soon, while the just launched Hyundai Verna facelift, Volkswagen Vento, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Volkswagen Vento are also in the fray for some competition.
