Suzuki motorcycles and scooters have opened bookings for the Burgman Street at Rs 5,000 In the run up to the launch on 19TH July. The scooter was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi, Underpinned on the same platform as the Access the Suzuki Burgaman gets a unique own design language not seen on any of the scooters before.
Speaking of the design elements, the scooter gets a large LED headlight that dominates the front apron with chunky side indicators and large comfortable seat. A fully digital instrument cluster borrowed from the Gixxer is a first for Suzuki scooters in India.
Internationally Suzuki sells the Burgman with multiple engine options 50cc, 200cc, 250cc, 400cc and a 600cc the 125cc motor is more likely for India and will be borrowed from the Access 125. The engine is a 124.93cc unit producing 8.7 bhp and 10.2Nm torque and will be mated to a continuously variable transmission.
The Suzuki Burgman when launched will rival the TVS Ntorq125, Honda Activa125, Honda Grazia125 and the up-coming twins from Hero stable the Maestro and Duet125.
