Fresh from the news stands,  Tata Motors has launched a new dual tone colour option for the Harrier SUV. The new dual tone shade has been priced at Rs 20,000 extra over standard variant.

The company says the Harrier dual tone has been introduced to celebrate 10,000 happy customers nationwide. However the recent introduction of the MG Hector and up-coming Kia Seltos both of which get dual tone options may have prompted the automaker to introduce the colour apart from customer feedback.

Commenting on the introduction of the dual tone options, Mr. Sibendra Barman – Vice President, Sales Marketing and Customer Support, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors said, “Harrier has made waves in the market ever since it was showcased in the Auto Expo 2018 as the H5X concept and subsequently launched in January 2019. Overwhelmed by the response received, we are extremely delighted to offer the Harrier in dual tone colour options. This is in line with our continuous endeavor to excite and wow our customers with cars that deliver stunning design and exhilarating performance. With the launch of the dual-tone colour options, we are confident that Harrier’s desirability will rise further to a whole new level.”

Buyers can purchase the dual tone Harrier in two colour options – Calisto copper with black roof and Orcus white with black roof. Available only in the top of the line XZ model, it comes loaded with all the bells and whistles from the standard Harrier with features such as Xenon projector headlamps, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, power adjust for outside wing mirrors and R17 alloy wheels.

Mechanically the dual tone Harrier continues to source power from a 2.2 litre Kyrotec motor churning out 140 PS and 350 Nm of torque that comes mated to a 6-speed manual only. On the safety front, it gets 6 airbags, ABS, EBD and ESP, hill hold control, corner stability control, electronic traction control and ISOFIX child anchorage points.

Tata Motors had also recently increased the prices of the Harrier range which are effective for the dual tone as well. The Harrier rivals the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector and the up-coming Renault Duster.
