Adding another feather to its hat, home-grown car manufacturer Tata Motors has announced that the Tiago hatchback has hit a successful 2 lakh unit sales in the Indian market.
Celebrating its success, the company has also released a music video titled ‘Apni Hatchback’ across digital platforms. The music video leverages the growing acceptance and popularity of the rap music culture in the country and is an ode to the Tata Tiago community. Looking at the pace at which ‘Indie Hip Hop’ is cutting through the clutter of Bollywood among the audience, ‘Apni Hatchback’ is a testament to Tata Motors’ ability and efforts in catching the pulse of the audience

Launched in 2016, the Tiago has been designed with the Impact design philosophy with dynamic features, bold stance and fluid design keeping in mind customer demand, Tata motors has constantly updated the hatchback with newer features and AMT transmission which can be purchased in 2 variants.
The company also launched the Tiago NRG cross hatch and a new top of the line XZ+ variant. It also brought in the more performance oriented JTP tuned Tiago from Jayem automobiles. Available in 1.2 litre petrol and 1.05 litre diesel engines, the petrol produces 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque. The 1.05 litre diesel puts out 70 PS and 140 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox.
The Tata Tiago rivals the Hyundai Santro and Maruti Suzuki Celerio in terms of competition.
