Tata Motors has introduced a new variant to the Nexon trim line-up; the new variant called the XZ+S and is priced at Rs 10.10 lakhs for the petrol and Rs 11.60 for the diesel (ex showroom prices)

The new variant XZ+S sits in between the XZ+ dual tone and the XZ+ dual tone and gets an electric sunroof along with added features as standard. New to the Nexon’s XZ-S variant includes leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped gear knob, auto headlamps, auto wipers and cruise control. It also receives Xpress cool function that was introduced earlier in a bid to cool the cabin faster.

Buyers looking to buy the compact SUV in the newly introduced trim will be happy to know that the choice can be made in petrol and diesel respectively. The petrol 1.2 litre motor puts out 110hp and 170Nm of torque, while the diesel is a 1.5 litre motor that churns out 110hp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual

Powering the compact SUV is 1.2 litre petrol and diesel engines which are now updated to meet BS6 spec norms. The 1.2 litre petrol puts out 110hp and 170Nm of torque, while the 1.5 litre diesel produces 110hp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox. We haven’t received any clarification on whether the AMT gearbox is also available on the newly introduced trim.

The newly added variant on the Nexon should give the Mahindra XUV 3OO, Hyundai Venue, Ford Ecosport and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift some tough competition.
