Tata Motors issues recall for Tigor diesel

Tata Motors has issued a voluntary recall campaign for the Tigor Diesel (MT) sedan over an Emission issue. The recall will only affect the diesel models and not the petrol derivatives.

The recall affects models bearing chassy numbers between MAT6290401GKP52721 and MAT629401HKN89616 and those manufactured between 6th March 2017 upto 1st December 2017.

Owners of the affected models may contact their nearest Tata Motors dealership or call through the toll free number 1800 209 7979 to carry out the repairs free of cost. The company will also contact affected customers and share the campaign on its website www.tatamotors.com.

Engine options for the Tata Tigor include a 1.05 litre three cylinder diesel engine producing 69bhp and 149 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand the 1.2 litre petrol engine puts out 84 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. The engine is offered with 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions options.
