Tata Motors has begun celebrations of the festive season with the launch of the Harrier dark edition. Prices for the new edition start at Rs 16.76 lakhs (ex showroom prices). The new black edition Harrier comes with 14 new enhancements to make it a perfect blend in design, sportiness and premiumness.

New on the Harrier dark edition is a new Atlas black colour scheme which is complemented by sporty R17 Blackstone alloy wheels and a Dark edition badge on the front fender. However the automaker recently added a much demanded sunroof feature to the standard Harrier range which is sold as an optional extra of Rs 95,100, while installation cost is additional.

Mechanically the dark edition Harrier is powered by the same 2.2 litre diesel motor with 140PS at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque at 1750-2500rpm under its hood. Transmission options are limited to a 6-speed manual only, while an automatic is expected to debut at a later stage.

Commenting on the launch of this limited edition, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head Marketing, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “In line with our endeavour to take the style quotient of the Harrier even higher, we wanted to offer a product that would make heads turn. The colour Black has always been desired amongst car buyers across the SUV segment. To meet these aspirations and to mark the onset of the festive season, we have launched the Harrier #Dark Edition today in a completely new avatar with a compelling package of striking exteriors and inviting interiors with 14 design enhancements. We are confident our customers will appreciate the Harrier in this look as much as they have appreciated the Harrier since its launch.”
