Durga Motors which is the sole dealer partners for Tata Motors in Goa have launched the Nexon facelift in Goa. The much touted facelift on the popular compact SUV was earlier previewed on the Nexon EV which made its debut much earlier.
New to the 2020 Nexon facelift includes several cosmetic changes that help it stand out in the crowd. It gets a new front face with angular headlights with daytime running lights which interestingly also doubles up as turn indicators, a new front grille with a black element and an arrow pattern below. The bumper has also been redesigned and now gets new fog lamp housings, a new air dam along with new skid plates.
There are no changes on the side but at the rear it receives updated taillamp clusters along with a new bumper with revised reflectors and repositioned Nexon badging on the tailgate. The updated Nexon also comes shod in section tyres
The interior of the updated Nexon gets a fresher looking black and beige colour scheme along with a plastic element running across the length of the dash. Also new are a flat bottom steering wheel and all digital instrument cluster.
In terms of features, the Nexon EV comes with automatic headlamps, daytime running lights, auto wipers, 7.0 inch touchscreen infortainment system, push button start/stop, keyless entry and an electric sunroof among many.
Powering the compact SUV is 1.2 litre petrol and diesel engines which are now updated to meet BS6 spec norms. The 1.2 litre petrol puts out 110hp and 170Nm of torque, while the 1.5 litre diesel produces 110hp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and AMT in both engine iterations.
The updated Nexon facelift takes on the Mahindra XUV 3OO, Hyundai Venue, Ford Ecosport and the soon to arrive Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza facelift
