Tata Motors has launched an updated Tiago range with new features and more. In this regard the standard Tiago gets new safety features, while the Tiago NRG gets an AMT transmission. Prices for the new Tiago with safety features start at Rs 4.40 lakhs and the AMT costs Rs 6.15 lakhs (ex showroom prices).
The new safety features added to the standard Tiago include Dual Airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Corner Stability Control (CSC), and Rear Parking Sensors. Additionally the automaker has decided to make provisions for wearing of seatbelts for driver and co-driver as well. The company has also announced that seatbelts equipeied with pre-tensioners and load limiters to the Tiago range.

Tata Motors has also upgraded the Tiago NRG by adding the convience of an AMT transmission. Previously available only on the standard Tiago, the introduction of the automatic is sure to boost its appeal to a larger audience than before. Features standard on the Tiago NRG AMT include 7-inch touchscreen infortainment that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Powering the Tata range is a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.0 litre diesel. The petrol produces 85 PS @ 6000rpm and114 Nm of torque at 3500rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT transmission. The 1.0 litre diesel engine on the other hand produces 70 PS 400rpm and 140 Nm of torque but gets only a 5-speed manual gearbox and misses out on the AMT.
