Tata motors have launched the AMT Spec Nexon in Goa. The Nexon AMT is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and a single spec XZ+ variant.
Powering for the Nexon is a 1.5 litre three cylinder petrol produces 110 bhp and 170nm torque. The four cylinder diesel unit is churns out 110 bhp and 260nm torque. Transmission duties are now handled by the AMT gearbox in addition to the 6 speed manual gearbox. Nexon’s AMT gearbox also gets connivance features such as hill assist, Creep function, manual mode, while Eco, Sport and City driving modes have been carried over from the manual transmission equipped Nexon
In addition to the AMT gearbox, Tata motors have also added a new exterior colour Etna Orange, ( also available in dual-tone) other than the new colour there are no changes on the Nexon AMT and the sub compact suv continues to offer the same levels of comfort, features and styling as its manual counterpart offered.
Some of the features on the Nexon AMT are Smart wearable “smart key” Projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, front fog lamps and a 6.5 inch Harman touchscreen.
The Nexon AMT will compete head on with the recently introduced Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT which is available only in Diesel engine for now.
