Tata Nexon sets bar for safety in India, scores 4 stars at Global NCAP Crash Test,

Tata Motors latest product the Nexon has been awarded 4-stars adult safety raiting and 3-star child protection rating at the crash test conducted by Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP).

The SUV secured the highest score of (13.56/17.00) amongst all the models tested across the Indian market by Global NCAP. The energy absorbing body structure with high strength steel construction and critical reinforcements effectively absorb the impact energy thus providing a safe cabin during the crash.

The Nexon comes equipped with a host of safety features for driver and passenger safety such as dual airbags, seatbelts with pre-tensioners with load limiters, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX anchorage for child seat, child-safety door locks, front fog lamps with cornering assistance and Voice based alerts.

Tata’s Nexon gets its power from a three cylinder 1.5 litre petrol engine that produces 110bhp and 170Nm of torque, while the four cylinder diesel churns out 110 bhp and 260 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual and AMT gearbox.

Prices for the Nexon range between Rs 9.48 lakhs for the petrol AMT and go up-to Rs 10, 66 Lakhs for the diesel auto (ex showroom prices)
