Sharayu Toyota the sole dealership for Toyota India has launched the new Yaris Sedan in Goa. The Yaris is the Japanese car-makers entry into the highly competitive C-Segment with cars like the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna to battle with, however Toyota seems to have left no stone unturned with the Yaris by packing it to the gills with features.

The Yaris has a stylish profile and does end up looking like a mini-Corolla The nose is the highlight of the car’s design. The 15-inch alloy wheels do look down on size though. The bonnet has muscular lines that flow in into the grille which stretches into the large swept back headlamps which are projector units and get LED parking lamps. The bumper houses a large air dam and cute looking fog lamps. The side profile has a simplistic look with a small crease that rises from the side fender and rises up into the rear, while the roof flows seamlessly into the boot. At the rear the combination taillamps have LED line guides in them and a chunky rear bumper make up for an attractive design.
The interior of the Yaris sports receives beige and black treatment with chrome accents, while the waterfall design centre console gets finished in piano black with chrome accents. The infotainment system is a 7.0-inch Audio Navigation unit with first in segment Gesture control. The seats come wrapped in leather, and are comfortable with good support, a point to note is that the driver seat is electrically adjustable. At the back the seats offer support and while you do get a good view out of the large windows, the flat floor allows for three passengers to seat comfortably. Boot Space of the sedan stands at 476 litres.
Toyota has packed the Yaris with a whole load of features many of which are first in segment the features list includes Powered driver’s seat, Roof mounted A/C vents with ambient illumination, Auto headlamps, Acoustic and vibration control glass, Audio and MID controls on steering wheel, 60.40 split rear seats, Plush leather seats, Push button start/stop, Rear sunshade, Rain sensing wipers, Smart entry, Cruise control with paddle shift, dual rear power outlet, 4.2 inch colored TFT Screen with sonar display and park assist display. 7.0-inch touchscreen with CD, USB and AUX-in.
Safety has been given highest attention in the Yaris, with features such as Tyre pressure monitor, front and rear parking sensors, Reverse Camera, Vehicle Stability Control ABS. EBD, Brake Assist,7 airbags which include driver, passenger side, knee and Curtain shield airbags
Power for the Yaris will only come from a petrol engine for now, while a CVT gearbox is also on offer. The Petrol unit is a 1.5 litre gets dual VVT-I gasoline and produces 107 PS 140 and nm torque at 4200 rpm. Transmission options range from a 6-speed manual or a 7 speed CVT automatic. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on all four wheels.
Toyota is offering the Yaris in 6 exciting colours they are Wildfire Red, Phantom Brown, Grey Metallic, Super White, Pearl White and Silver Metallic.
