Volkswagen has launched a new special edition of the Polo, Ameo and Vento in India. The new cars will be known as ‘Black and White edition’ and retail at no additional cost.
All three models get body graphics, chrome ‘Black and white’ badge on fender, black painted roof, R16 Progato alloys and black wing mirrors. Also on offer on the ‘Black and white edition’ is leatherette seat covers.
Powering the Polo is a 1.0 litre petrol engine that produces 75bhp and 95 Nm of torque. On the other hand the 1.5 litre TDi diesel 89 bhp and 109 Nm of torque. Transmission options include 5-speed manual for both petrol and diesel.
The Ameo also uses a 1.0 litre petrol engine but puts out 76 PS @ 6200rpm and 95 Nm of torque. On the flipside the 1.5 litre diesel produces 110 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the petrol include a 5-speed manual, while the along with the 5-speed manual, the diesel also gets the option of a 7-speed DSG automatic.
The Vento comes strapped with 1.6 litre petrol churning out 105 PS and 153 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual only. The smaller in capacity 1.2 litre petrol pulls out 105 PS and 175 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 7-speed DSG automatic. The diesel line-up includes a 1.5 litre TDI motor that puts out 110 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual.
