Yamaha launches MT-15 motorcycle priced at Rs 1.36 lakhs

Yamaha has introduced the highly anticipated and much awaited MT-15 hyper naked motorcycle priced at Rs 1.36 lakhs (ex showroom Delhi).

Built on a delta frame type chassy rides on a 100/80 17m tyre at front and 140/70 rear tyres. Suspension duties are managed by 130 Telescopic forks at the front and 97mm Swingarm at the rear.

The MT-15 is a stylish  motorcycle that comes with loads of style and attitude. The Bi-functional headlights for instance look mean and aggressively styled, then there’s the well designed fuel tank and radiator side fins that sport an ultra sharp look. The taillight is an edgy LED unit that looks super sleek and demands attention.

The negative instrument cluster sports a LCD display and gets blue backlight with white font. On the flipside it gets gearshift indicator, mileage indicator, variable valve actuation, indicator and even a USB port.

Powering the motorcycle is a liquid cooled 4 stroke 155cc engine that produces maximum power of 19.3 ps of power at 10,000rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch for easier shifts.

Braking on the other hand is handled by 282mm hydraulic single disc at front and 220mm hydraulic single disc at the rear. Yamaha has also further boosted the braking confidence by adding ABS which is available at the front tyre only.

Buyers queuing up for the MT-15’s purchase can have it either in metallic black and dark matt blue. Speaking of the competition, the MT-15 contends with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS.
