Yamaha has along with the BS6 125cc Fascino, also launched the Ray ZR and Street Rally 125 in the Indian market. Prices for the scooters however are yet to be revealed.
New on the 125cc powered Ray ZR FI and Street Rally 125 is a styling concept called Armoured Energy. Yamaha says it evokes a feeling of a powerful motorcycle laced into proportions, details, striking design and new technologies. Apart from that it also gets updated styling in the form of a digital instrument cluster, wider 110 section rear tyre. It also gets a rugged frame and side panels designed to resemble protectors.
Powering both the Ray ZR FI 125 and Street Rally 125 is a 125cc blue core engine that is said to produce 8.2ps @ 6,500rpm and 9.7Nm of torque @ 5,000rpm. The engine comes mated to an automatic transmission and returns kmpl.
Both the scooter also makes use of electronics control for a quitter operation during start-u and also gets side stand engine cut off switch Yamaha has also lined-up as many as 5 exciting paint schemes which are Dark blue metallic, Cyan blue, Matte Red metallic, Metallic black and Reddish yellow cocktail.
